First Aid Training
Part of a local group or organisation that meet regularly?
Employed by a small business?
Always wanted to have these life-saving skills?
Every year, nearly 150,000 people in the UK die in situations where First Aid could have given them a chance to live. First Aid saves lives. In the event of injury or sudden illness, First Aid can be the difference between life and death.
First Aid prepares you to spot the early signs that can prevent a much more serious health issue or situation arising.
I have over 20 years experience of delivering First Aid training and feel that having First Aid skills is as important as learning to drive or cook.
I believe passionately that we all have a responsibility to be able to respond and care for each other.
As a qualified First Aid trainer, I offer training to companies, groups and organisations. Whether it’s your first time or you need a refresher course, I can help.
What will I learn?
- Action at an emergency – priorities of treatment
- What to do if someone is unconscious and breathing (the recovery position – for adults, children and babies)
- What to do if someone is unconscious and not breathing
- CPR – differences between adult, baby and child CPR
- Choking – theory and practical
- Drowning
- Preparing for an emergency – things to think about before the event
- First Aid Kits
- Bleeding – nose bleeds, objects in nose & ears, amputated parts, eye injuries
- Burns – electrocution, scalds and fire
- Poisoning – corrosive and non-corrosive
- Head injury – concussion & compression
- Spinal Injuries
- Fitting and febrile convulsions
- Asthma
- Acute Allergic reactions and use of an Epipen
One of the aspects that makes my First Aid training unique is that, where possible, I deliver my training outdoors. It adds another dimension to the training and a level of realism.
Be empowered with these life-saving skills. Be confident to act appropriately, if or when an accident occurs.
