With over 30 years experience as a teacher, including as Headteacher, I have a wealth of experience in successfully teaching young people and adults.
What makes my teaching approach different to that of the school system is that I cater for a variety of learning styles.
I don’t believe a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching works. I know how schools, the education system and teaching have changed and that they do not work for everyone.
I tailor my teaching methods to your child’s style of learning. We start by uncovering their learning style. We discuss how they feel about that subject and their exam.
Then we devise a teaching style that suits them and is successful. A core part of my tutoring is giving them the skills and tools they need to successfully learn. Once they have these, they find new confidence in themselves, their abilities and that subject.
I am also happy to tutor where they feel most comfortable. That could be at home, a library or a coffee shop. It’s wherever they learn best.
